Arcteryx Men Norvan VT
With the Norvan VT, Arc'teryx have created a trail shoe for dedicated trail runners looking for new territory to explore and alpinists and climbers using trail running as a tool to increase their performance. This demands footwear that is secure, agile and durable enough to adapt to terrain that requires scrambling and steep ascents. Through the use of innovative design the Norvan VT delivers enhanced climbing and scrambling performance that takes trail running footwear to a higher level.
Comprised of internal and external components, the Norvan VT's 360 Support System wraps the forefoot for complete, evenly distributed, reliable support. An external non-stretch PU-coated synthetic exoskeleton wraps the entire forefoot area. The fixed Adaptive Fit Liner comfortably wraps the foot and keeps out debris.
While running on trail, a carefully sculpted midsole unit is inherently stable and creates both a soft landing and dynamic toe-off. The EVA/Polyolefin midsole delivers performance that lasts 36% longer than standard EVA.
Trail running creates impact that causes the foot to splay and the shoe's volume needs to accommodate this expansion. Ascending requires a precise, tight fit that offers a feel and confidence while moving over steep rock. The Norvan VT shifts on the fly from run mode to scrambling mode with a single pull. Ingeniously simple, the adjustable lacing system can be tightened and secured to pull you onto the ball of your foot for a precise, supportive fit while scrambling, then instantly disengaged to restore the volume needed while running.
The advanced Vibram sole combines a sticky Idrogrip forefoot for traction on wet rocks and trails with a Megagrip compound under the heel and midfoot for durability.
