We are delighted to announce that the British Ultra will be taking place on May 24th 2008 on the remote Islands of the Scottish Highlands. The Ultra will undoubedtly be the toughest multi stage foot race within the United Kingdom. The event will see athletes compete over six days over high mountains, exposed coastal cliffs and quite country lanes in one of the more remote and certainly most extreme environments that the UK has to offer.

The OMM 2007 Several members of the 'Likeys Lot' had a crack at the Original Mountain Marathon (formerly the KIMM) which took place on the 27/28th October 2007. The weekend lived up to all our expectations and a sortie on one of the racing classes has been muted for 2008.
Gobi Challenge 2007 A number of the 'Likeys Lot' have recently returned from this amazing desert ultra. Our very own Matt in his first extreme desert ultra marathon finished in an incredible 2nd place. Sue and Warwick equipped themselves equally well, collecting the Courage Shield and trophy for team spirit respectively.
We pride ourselves on only supplying kit we believe in and there is no better way of testing kit than to race with it in the environments it was designed for. The range of kit used is to vast to mention here, suffice to say, Raidlight clothing and equipment was ever popular.
If you need any clothing or equipment advice do please feel free to give us a call, we are always happy to offer our advice with absolutely no obligation to buy.

After the resounding success of the inaugural 2008 British Ultra the dates have now been released for a repeat performance in 2009. The dates will be slightly earlier in the year from the 3rd of May finishing on the 8th: this should mean less midges for a start! Barry and Matt from Likeys raced Round 3 of the Questars adventure race series which took place at Cannock Chase over the weekend. Varied terrain had been promised and the 'Chase' certainly didn't dissapoint. In order to compliment this the weather was a mixed bag thus adding to the challenge in true adventure race style! A big "Well Done" to the guys from Quest.
Despite the race itself not quite going quite according to plan for the chaps on the day, the Likeys 'stall proved to be a great success. A "Big Thanks" for those of you who came and had a chat and an even "Bigger Thanks" to those that bought some kit! See you at Round 4 in Purbeck.
A big "congratulations" are in order! Martin (Like) and Sue have completed the 2008 Gobi Challenge in fine style. Further compliments go out to Dave Scott and his crew for putting on this fantastic event providing what really is an epic adventure. A previous competitor once described the Gobi Challenge "as the ultimate physical challenge set against the most cultural experience imaginable" .... so looking for a desert ultra in 2009?? ...... Then look no further! ...... The 2009 Gobi Challenge awaits!
Not that we are particulaly fond of blagging about how good we are - but we thought you might like to see what sort of feedback we are getting .......... Its also a brilliant way of keeping us on our toes!!
Likeys.com win Questars Round 4 - Purbeck!!
We would just like to say that the Likeys crew have had a fantastic weekend at the 4th and final round of Questars at Purbeck. Despite the adverse weather conditions Matt & Barry managed to win the pairs category in a truly eventful race which provided them both with their fair share of trips and crashes!
Likeys were also present as a shop at the event which also proved to be a great success. If you would like more information on kit for adventure racing then you could do worse than look at what we've got to offer.
